FORGIVENESS – Trevor Hudson
What does it mean to forgive?
Forgive is not to forget.
Not to lay justice aside
Not to say what you did does not matter

To forgive so is to let go of my right to pay someone back, my right to retaliate.
If you let go of that right you also get released from the prison of resentment, bitterness and hatred.
People hurt each other. It happens to everyone. Intentionally, unintentionally, regretfully or not. It’s a part of what we do as people. The beauty is that we have the ability to heal and forgive.
Do what Jesus taught us in His last words “Father forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”
The cross matters because it makes real the gift of Gods forgiving love.
It reveals who God wants us to forgive not because they deserve forgiveness
But because you deserve peace.
Forgiveness does not change the past but it does enlarge the future.
