SHORT CUTS DOES NOT PAY

A beautiful bird with colored feathers, sat singing in a tree. He saw a man carrying a box.

He asked the man: “What is inside that box” The man replied “Nice fat worms,

Give me one of your feathers and I will give you a worm”.

The bird thought: I can get a nice fat worm.

Why must I trouble myself looking for a food? It so happened that the man came by every day and the bird exchanged one of his beautiful feathers for a nice fat worm. After a while the bird had no feathers and could no longer fly. He also stopped singing.
